Somatic Therapy & The Healing Arts

Honoring Your Child's Unique Brilliance

Alexandra Granato-Garcia, RSME/T | RYT – 200

Indígena Somatic Arts Practitioner

Welcome, I am deeply honored you are here. Your presence helps shape this space, one rooted in possibility, connection, and your child’s inner illumination through the #fluturizationeffect

The Art of Somatic Living is a beautiful unfolding, an ongoing dialogue between the body’s wisdom and the world around us through the greater flow of life.

At Flutura Creative, I see and celebrate the unique brilliance in every child.

I am excited to walk this path with your family, offering body-centered practices like somatic movement, dance therapy, and process art that honor them for exactly who they are.

Instead of just talking about big feelings, we playfully explore them through sensation and the language of the body, helping to calm the nervous system and let their amazing creativity shine.

I meet each child exactly where they are, moving at their pace, listening closely to body language, energy, and sensory needs.

To support your family’s exploration, here are a few ways we can connect:

Gentle, Attuned Support

That Meets Our Autistic Son Exactly Where He Is

“We’ve had the privilege of working with Alex for a while now, and the impact on our son—who is autistic and has limited verbal communication—has been nothing short of remarkable.

From the very first session, Alex created a space that felt safe, respectful, and deeply attuned to our son’s unique needs. Her calm presence, gentle approach, and intuitive understanding of nonverbal communication have allowed him to feel seen and supported in a way that is rare and truly special.

What sets Alex apart is her ability to meet our son exactly where he is, without pressure or expectation. She moves at his pace, always listening—both to his body language and his energy—and responds with care and precision. Over time, we’ve noticed subtle but meaningful shifts in his regulation, connection, and ease in his body. He clearly looks forward to his time with her, which speaks volumes.

We are so grateful to have found someone who not only has a deep knowledge of somatic practices but also a genuine sensitivity to neurodiversity. If you are looking for a practitioner who honors the whole person, especially someone who may not communicate with words, I cannot recommend Alex highly enough.”  The Weston Family

Personalized Support

Why I Begin with a Systems Based Approach…

Somatics starts with the ecosystem, not just the individual.

A child’s nervous system is in continuous dialogue with the nervous systems of their caregivers and environment.

When we support the whole family system, regulation becomes more accessible, communication pathways expand, and changes hold over time.

Caregiver Nervous System

🪞Mirror: Children read our body cues—breath, tone, posture—as information about safety. When caregivers practice co-regulation (slower breath, softer voice, grounded posture), children receive a live “mirror” of calm they can attune to.

🌡Thermostat: Caregivers set the baseline temperature of the home’s nervous system. Through somatic practices, parents learn to gradually “turn down the heat.” Lowering overall arousal and helping the family return to safe-and-social states more consciously and consistently.

Engaging Siblings and Additional Family Members

I include siblings and additional family members so shared rituals, language, and rhythms are consistent across the day.

Simple, repeatable micro-practices (like mirroring, color check-ins, movement-patterns to name a few) become family habits, increasing connection and reducing pressure on one child to “do it right.”

The result, more moments of joy, play, and ease, smoother transitions, and a home culture that reinforces safety and expression.

Sustainable lifestyle through shared body-based practices.

Somatic skills integrate best when all the key nervous systems in the home practice together, as with anything new, it will take repetition not through perfection but with consistency to build the habits together.

Families report subtle, meaningful shifts that compound: quicker settling after transitions, more initiation of play, increased capacity for communication (verbal or nonverbal), and a steadier baseline for everyone.
